Refund policy

Cancellation of Order Before Processing

If you change your mind before processing your order, we accept the cancellation. If an order has already been shipped, please read the conditions below (included in our General Terms and Conditions of Sale).

Withdrawal, Return, and Refund

The items provided by Univers-Tibet® are new and guaranteed against any defects. They are identical to those from traditional retail trade and come from all listed publishers and suppliers.

1. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with the provisions of articles L.221-18 et seq. of the Consumer Code, the client has a withdrawal period of fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of receipt or collection of the item(s) to exercise their legal right of withdrawal without giving reason and thereby notifying Univers-Tibet® of their intention to return the item(s).

If the items are subject to the statutory right of withdrawal, the client exercising this right (under the conditions stipulated in this article regarding the deadline and method of returning the articles) may obtain a refund for the returned articles.

When the fourteen (14) day period expires on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday/day off, it is extended until the following first working day.

2. Exercise of the Right of Withdrawal and Return Procedures

You must transmit your clear withdrawal statement in electronic form, through our website. We will send you an acknowledgment of receipt of your declaration by email.

To comply with the withdrawal period:

  • You must send us your withdrawal declaration before the expiration of the 14 calendar days,
  • The items must not have been used, opened, or damaged,
  • The articles must be returned intact and unused in their original packaging. If applicable, the package must retain its original seal.

Implementing the right of withdrawal obligates the client to return or restitute the items without delay, and no later than 14 calendar days from exercising their right.

According to article L.221-23 of the Consumer Code, return costs are borne by the client.

No insured shipment will be accepted, whatever the reason.

3. Verification of Returned Items

Upon receipt of the package returned by the client, Univers-Tibet® will inspect its contents and verify the condition of the returned items. The refund will only be processed (or not processed) by Univers-Tibet® after this inspection.

In case of refusal to refund, we will inform you via email (with photos if necessary) of the reasons for our refund refusal.

4. Exception to the Application of the Right of Withdrawal

According to article L. 221-28, paragraph 5 of the Consumer Code, the statutory right of withdrawal is excluded in the case of sealed items that have been opened after delivery or which cannot be returned for reasons of health or hygiene.

5. Refund

In case of exercising the right of withdrawal, Univers-Tibet® is required to refund the sums paid by the client, free of charges, with the exception of return costs. The refund must be made within a maximum period of 14 working days from the date of receipt of the returned package(s).

The refund will be processed by the Univers-Tibet® Payment Service Provider after confirmation by Univers-Tibet® of the return of the ordered article(s), using the same payment method used by the client for the initial transaction.
