After-sales service - Repair of your jewelry
A broken thread, an accident: despite all the care you take with your Tibetan jewelry, this can happen. We offer the possibility of having a repair for your piece done in our specialized workshops.
Your Jewelry Repair Process
To start your repair request, send us a message at contact@univers-tibet.com, accompanied by a clear photo of your damaged jewelry. Please specify if any beads are missing or if any crystals are broken.
Our expertise in Tibetan jewelry allows us to quickly assess the condition of your piece. We will then get back to you to confirm whether the repair is possible in our workshops and what type of intervention will be necessary.
We will establish a transparent quote, as accurate as possible, detailing handling fees and estimated timelines. If you accept this quote, we will provide instructions: payment and sending your item to our workshop.
Once the repair has been performed by our artisans, we will return your jewelry to you with regular updates on your case at every step.
Repairable Materials and Damage
We work on necklaces and pendants made of natural stones (rose quartz, lapis lazuli, amethyst, labradorite), bracelets made of glass, wood, or semi-precious stones (tiger's eye, jasper), as well as rock crystal pendants. We also treat jewelry made of 925 sterling silver and stainless steel.
Repairable damages include: broken threads on necklaces and bracelets, missing beads, various accidental damage, and natural wear. Our workshops are equipped to handle artisanal beads embedded with coral and turquoise, as well as complex motifs characteristic of Tibetan jewelry.
Repair Conditions and Timelines
One thing to know: we repair only items sold on Univers Tibet. Practically speaking, this means we have a perfect command of the original materials and can guarantee a repair quality consistent with the initial piece.
Timelines vary depending on the complexity of the work. We are committed to keeping you informed at every stage of the process. For any questions, write to us via our contact form.
Maintenance and Damage Prevention
To prolong the life of your jewelry, clean your necklaces and pendants with a soft cloth to prevent oxidation, particularly on 925 silver settings. Store them in a box or pouch to prevent scratches and impacts.
In my opinion, two additional precautions deserve attention: avoid contact with water and chemicals, especially for earrings. These simple gestures preserve the physical integrity of your pieces over time.
Why Repair Rather Than Replace
What we observe is that a Tibetan jewelry piece worn regularly develops its own unique history tied to its owner. Each natural stone, each engraved symbol (lotus, Om, mandala) becomes part of a personal practice that cannot be replicated identically with a new piece.
The real difference is precisely this continuity: repairing means preserving the chosen piece for what it represents, rather than starting from scratch.
Investing in repair rather than replacement preserves the spiritual connection and artistic integrity of your jewelry. Sterling silver, for example, can be renovated and rhodium-plated to regain its original shine: this justifies a guarantee of durability after repair. It is also an environmentally friendly and respectful choice toward your personal heritage.
The Tibetan necklaces in our collection are designed to last. With regular maintenance and necessary repairs, they will accompany you for the long term. You can also find our spiritual earrings and our selection of 925 silver jewelry.
