FAQs
Welcome to the Univers Tibet FAQ 🌸
At Univers Tibet, we know that every spiritual object has a story, a meaning, and sometimes... its own little mysteries! This page is here to answer your most frequently asked questions, whether they concern the symbolism of a mala, the origin of our singing bowls, the virtues of natural stones, or even the delivery of your orders. Explore these answers as a path of knowledge to better understand the richness of our traditions and our creations.
1. Where do the products sold on Univers Tibet come from?
Our products are carefully selected from artisans in Tibet, Nepal, India, and Central Asia. Each item is the result of traditional craftsmanship passed down from generation to generation.
2. Are your items handmade?
Yes, the majority of our items are handmade. This includes our Tibetan natural stone malas, singing bowls, Dzi agate bracelets, Buddha statues, traditional incense, prayer wheels, and many more. Each piece is unique, giving your purchase an authentic and sacred feel.
3. What is a Tibetan mala used for?
A mala is a traditional rosary composed of 108 beads. Used in Buddhism, Hinduism, and other spiritual traditions, it is used for reciting mantras (japa), meditation, or concentration. Wearing a mala also connects you to a specific intention or energy, depending on the stones it contains.
4. How do I choose my mala?
Trust your intuition and your needs. Each stone has its own virtues: rose quartz is linked to love, amethyst to wisdom, tiger's eye to protection... You can also choose based on your chakras or your astrological sign. Our blog and product sheets will guide you in this choice.
5. What does the number 108 mean in a mala?
The number 108 is sacred in Eastern traditions. It represents cosmic unity, infinity, and the 108 trials Buddha had to overcome to achieve enlightenment. Meditating with a 108-bead mala symbolically represents a path to enlightenment.
6. How to use a singing bowl?
Place it on a flat surface or cushion. Gently tap the rim with the mallet, then slide it around the bowl, applying even pressure. The sound and vibrations emanating from it promote relaxation, energetic alignment, and deep meditation.
7. What is lithotherapy?
Lithotherapy is a holistic approach that uses the energy of natural stones to promote physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. Each stone emits a vibration that can resonate with our own energy fields.
8. How do I know which stone is right for me?
Listen to your feelings: a stone may "attract" you for no logical reason. This often means it corresponds to a deep need. You can also consult our stone guide or our article on chakras to make an informed choice.
9. How do I purify and recharge my stones?
Purification: natural incense, distilled water, dry salt, or singing bowl.
Recharging: in sunlight (for hot stones) or moonlight (for soft stones such as selenite, moonstone, etc.).
Tip: Our purification set with hematite and rock crystal is ideal for regular maintenance.
10. What does the Flower of Life symbolize?
The Flower of Life is a universal sacred geometric symbol. It represents creation, unity, and the interconnectedness of all things. It is found in many ancient cultures and civilizations. It is also a powerful tool for energy harmonization.
11. Can I wear several stone bracelets at the same time?
Yes, as long as you combine them well. Avoid mixing too many opposing energies (for example, a calming stone like howlite and a stimulating stone like carnelian).
12. Are your Tibetan incense natural?
Absolutely. Our incense sticks are handmade according to Tibetan traditions, using medicinal plants, resins, spices, and sacred woods. They contain no chemical glue or synthetic fragrances.
13. How to use Tibetan incense?
Place the stick in a suitable incense holder, light the end, let the flame burn for a few seconds, then blow to reveal the embers. Allow the smoke to diffuse throughout your meditation space or any room to purify the atmosphere.
14. What ritual objects do you recommend for beginners?
